For three years, 25th Ward Alderwoman candidate Aida Flores has organized monthly block cleanups, bringing neighbors together to protect local infrastructure and build a dignified community.

A healthy neighborhood starts right on the street.

For the last three years, Aida Flores has organized monthly block cleanups across the 25th Ward. Once a month, neighbors grab gloves, bags, and brooms, and spend a few hours moving through the alleys and sidewalks together.

This work actively maintains the ward's infrastructure. By consistently clearing debris from the gutters and unblocking street drains, neighbors take direct action to prevent the chronic flooding that damages working-class homes and basements.

These cleanups also do exactly what a ward office should do: bring people together. When neighbors work side-by-side to take care of their own blocks, they build a sense of shared ownership and pride. They look out for each other.

Clean streets are a fundamental standard of dignity for the families who live here. Taking care of the 25th Ward means showing up month after month to do the work together.
